Episode 8: Rob Taylor's Story
People often enjoy hearing stories of those who have experienced a traumatic event and fought to overcome the consequences of that trauma. On the outset, we may think of the story with the happy ending as the best one, but sometimes it’s the struggle that is most memorable and can inspire someone to continue in their own personal fight.
In this podcast, Brian McCauley and Derek Vigstol are joined by a special guest, Rob Taylor, who just recently attended e-Hazard’s Train the Trainer course. Rob is a Master Electrician and Journeyman with twenty-two years experience in the electrical industry. He works for Kimberly Clark as an Electrical Trainer as well as an Electrical Safety Advisor.
Rob shares the life-changing experience of being in an arc flash event. It happened in 2011, and the injuries he sustained from the arc flash and the arc blast greatly impacted him and his family. He explains how the injuries still affect him today.
After hearing his story and what he has done in the electrical industry since the accident, you will see that he truly is an inspiration to all for his work in electrical safety.
