Shell Canada investigated an arc flash incident that affected three workers. The arc flash investigation resulted in no injuries. This is the kind of story we want to hear. The workers were taken to the “health facility as a precaution”, but were cleared for work that evening.

Congratulations to Shell Canada, CSA Z462, Alberta OH&S, ESPS (one of their consultants) and the excellent contractors in Alberta. This is what the right training, right PPE, and the right procedures do.

I hope this is how every event turns out until they can all be prevented.
