Understanding NFPA 70B: Key Insights from Experts

Conversation About NFPA 70B

Derek Vigstol, e-Hazard electrical safety consultant and instructor, sat down for a one-on-one conversation with Thomas Domitrovich about the NFPA®70B®.

During this 27-minute video, Derek talks about requirements for training not only for the qualified worker performing installations but also for the electrical maintenance worker.

Electrical maintenance training requires that individuals responsible for performing maintenance tasks are adequately trained in specific procedures, test methods, equipment usage, and safety precautions relevant to the equipment or systems they handle. Employees undergoing on-the-job training can be considered qualified under direct supervision if they demonstrate the ability to safely perform assigned duties.
