Mike Doherty

Mike Doherty has over 49 years of industrial, commercial and electrical utility experience. He is president and owner of Blue Arc Electrical Safety Technologies, Inc. Mike spent 31 years with Ontario Power Generation as a Control Technician, Electrical Safety Program Coordinator, and Electrical Skills Instructor. He is currently a member of professional associations such as CSA, CUSP, NFPA, and IEEE.

Mike was the original Technical Committee Chair of CSA Z462, the first four Editions and continues to serve. Past Technical Committee Chair of CAN/ULC S-801 -Electric Utility Workplace Electrical Safety for Generation, Transmission and Distribution. He served as Chair for Association of Electrical Utility Safety Professionals (AEUSP) in 2018-2019. Mike has received numerous electrical safety excellence and service awards.
