Bill Shinn

Bill founded e-Hazard to educate others on the importance of working safely around electricity. His expertise came from his thirty-year career with Alcoa Aluminum where he held many positions, including Chairman of the Alcoa Electrical Safety Committee.

Bill was responsible for surveying all facilities for electrical hazards and creating Alcoa’s first electrical safety standard, long before such standards were commonplace in industry. He continues to strive for improvements in electrical safety as a voting member of ASTM Committee F18 on Electrical Protective Equipment For Workers.
